March may be coming to a close, but the recognition and celebration of women will never be confined to a single month.
Throughout March, we honor International Women’s Month and recognize Women in Construction Week—two powerful reminders of the impact women continue to make across industries, from business and leadership to technology and the built environment. But the truth is, this impact doesn’t end on March 31st. Women are consistently shaping, building, innovating, and leading every single day.
As a woman—and a woman in construction—this month gave me a moment to pause and reflect on two milestones I’m especially proud of:
• Closing a significant chapter by selling the final homes in our first new construction development
• Writing a foreword for Jose Vicente Castro’s book, “My Journey through the Houston Airports Project” – a book intended to serve as a technical reference and conceptual framework for understanding quality management within large, complex infrastructure programs.
Both moments represent different forms of building—one physical, one intellectual—but each rooted in growth, contribution, and legacy.
This is the work women are doing every day: building communities, advancing industries, and creating pathways for others to follow.
So, while March may be ending, the momentum is not. The recognition is not. And the impact certainly is not.
Here’s to continuing the work—intentionally, consistently, and unapologetically.
