Today’s Celebrating Black Excellence highlight is 🖤🖤

Jasper Balom is the founder and owner of Black Knowledge, a platform dedicated to the personal and professional development of people of color. Born and raised in Tifton, Georgia , Jasper grew up in an environment that inspired him to work towards creating opportunities for the community he called home.

Jasper Balom's interest in education and community empowerment was sparked during his time at the University of Houston , where he pursued a degree in Human development and family studies with a minor in Nonprofit Management . While in college, he worked at a non-profit organization the Houston Area Urban League aimed at providing mentorship and resources to underprivileged youth in the Houston area.

After graduating, Jasper realized in several industries, including finance, marketing, and technology. He saw a consistent lack of diversity and representation for people of color in these fields. This realization led him to create Black Knowledge in 2016, with the vision of building a platform that could help bridge this gap and provide resources for skill development, problem-solving, and leadership development.

Through Black Knowledge, Jasper has been able to create an environment that encourages individuals to invest in themselves and their community, building a community of leaders that better represent their brothers and sisters in the economy and government. The platform offers a range of resources, including educational content, networking opportunities, and access to career development programs.

Jasper Balom's passion for education and community empowerment is evident in his work with Black Knowledge. Through his platform, he is building a community of leaders who are equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary to make positive changes in their own lives and the lives of those around them.
