🏅🏅What a day!! 🥳🥳 I had the privilege of completing another today! 🙌🙌 I've been running this race for a few years now, and although I was out there by myself from start to finish, I had an absolute blast!! There was no pressure to PR, so I just relaxed and took it all in. I usually run with my earphones in, but this time, I kept one out so I could hear the crowd. I smiled throughout the entire race, gave out so many high fives, and cheered on the full marathoners when they had to make their big turn. (I've been there, it's bittersweet to see half the crowd leave you.😬) Running into my friend I hadn't seen in over 10 years was frosting on the cake.🥰

I thought this race would finally be my goodbye to running (hello, strength training💪), but honestly, I know it's not. ☺️😉. The feeling of being out there with just your thoughts, pushing to get to the finish line, is hard to replace. 🥰

After the race, I went home, showered, jumped back in the car, and drove down to Rio Grande Valley to reunite with my little family. Yup, today was a good one!❤️
