The costs associated with buying a home that you may not know about:

🔏Earnest money: 1+% of purchase price, due within 3 days of accepted offer.

🔏Home inspection: $600+, due within 7-10 days of accepted offer.

🔏Appraisal fee: $600 - $800, required by lender within 10 days of loan application.

🔏Escrow account: 2-3 months of insurance and taxes, paid at closing.
