I’ve got 3 ideas to help you get started with supporting educator mental health ⬇️
1. Survey your staff. Before the year ends, take a moment to send out a survey that the staff, department and/or team can fill out expressing the glows and grows of campus, departmental and/or team culture and climate. This can give you some insight on areas that may need improved support.
2. Research or seek counsel. There is more and more information becoming available as it relates to educator mental health and the impact that it has on student learning. There are people in the field of education (link in bio) that are willing and able to strategize a plan and develop programs, resources and/or apps for creating a work environment that supports educator mental health if research is not a task you are willing to add to your plate.
3. Automate your solutions. Establishing a culture that supports mental health may seem like just another thing to-do for some school leaders. The solutions that are created by The Educator Help Desk are meant to make your job easier. Automation, via apps designed specifically to meet your campus’ unique need is the way that we do this. Our goal is to improve the way we “manage” being an educator making everyone’s experience in the field of education one that is smoother and frankly more enjoyable. This creates more space, time and energy for student growth and development.
