The end of a Mother's Day to remember! I received cards, texts, and emails from my family members. However, wonderful those were, and they are greatly appreciated, the following two stood out. My mother and I planted this particular flowering plant about 6 years ago. I was so excited to see the tri color bloom, and after many years with no flowers I was ready to replant, if you know what I mean! Finally, last year when I saw our patience pay off with many beautiful blooms. I have been wondering if it would happen again this year and I awoke to this single bloom today. The bloom is a reminder of how often life’s journey will test our patience, and unexpectedly reward us for our efforts. I see this so much in the growing love and obedience of our children. They amaze me daily!

My kitty brought me a fresh rat today! I know not so endearing a gift for non-cat moms, but to me it was a sweet reminder of her protection of our family! She has brought us so much joy in the last year with her gifts and impromptu massages on late night. Ha! Ha! I wonder sometimes if I am as generous with my creator/keeper. Coco reminds me that it is not what I bring to God that is so pleasing. I am simply to do as I am created, and that is precious to God.



So, to all my babies human, feline, and canine; it has been a great year to be your mommy. All the best in the next year my little ones, Mommy loves you.
