Leadership starts with ownership.

At this year’s ICCFA University, Robbie Pape, CCFE, brought the energy with “Own It!”, a class focused on taking responsibility and leading from wherever you are.

In addition to leading the class, Robbie served as Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, helping shape the experience for the next generation of leaders.

This week, our Directors of Operations and Directors of Sales came together in Houston for three days of strategic planning and collaboration.

The team focused on strengthening our culture, driving growth, and setting Carriage up for success in 2026 and beyond. They left with clear priorities and the determination to turn our plans into action.

And, of course, congratulations to Taylor Christensen on earning the title of meeting bowling champion!

Kudos also go to Matthew Madison, who battled valiantly to claim third place.

Congratulations to our winners, and to everyone who brought their skills, competitive spirit and energy to the table!

Today, we had the privilege of hosting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater HoustonBoys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston 2026 Youth Advocacy Town Hall at our Support Center.

The day brought together young leaders, elected officials, and community partners for meaningful conversations about food insecurity, youth homelessness, gun violence, and substance abuse. Through leadership panels, collaborative solutions labs, and “Shark Tank” presentations, Club members shared their ideas and demonstrated the impact young voices can have on our communities.

We were honored to welcome several elected officials including, Fort Bend County Commissioner Grady Prestage, Houston City Council Member Amy Peck, Houston City Council Member Mario Castillo, State Representative Lauren Ashley Simmons, State Representative Charlene Ward Johnson, and State Representative Christina Morales

Thank you to President and CEO Kevin Hattery and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston staff for their partnership, and to the Carriage team members whose hospitality helped create a premier experience for everyone in attendance.

It was an inspiring day, and an important reminder that the next generation isn’t waiting for its opportunity to lead. They’re already leading.

What's better than having one Carriage team member recognized as a Face of Technology? How about two!

Congratulations to Minh Reid and Emilli Milstead, on being recognized as this year's Faces of Technology by American Funeral Director Magazine.

Minh has been instrumental in transforming our digital experience, from our websites to eCommerce and everything in between, always with the goal of making it easier for families to connect with us when they need us most.

Emilli has a unique ability to simplify complex challenges, improve processes, and find smarter ways of working that make a real difference across the Carriage.

Two well-deserved recognitions for two people who make Carriage better every day. Congratulations, Minh and Emilli!
