You've probably heard the term "El Niño" tossed around, right? Well, it's more than just weather jargon—it can seriously impact your home. 🌧️💨
Here's a few things you can do now to give yourself peace of mind 🌧️🛡️
1️⃣ Gutters & Drains: Make sure they're clear. You don't want water pooling around your home
2️⃣ Roof Check: Inspect for loose shingles or leaks. Better safe than sorry!
3️⃣ Windows & Doors: Seal any gaps to keep the warmth in and the water out
4️⃣ Emergency Kit: Stock up on essentials like water, batteries, and non-perishable food
5️⃣ Insurance: Double-check your coverage. Some policies don't cover flood damage
A strengthening El Niño will make this winter different than last year in part of the United States. It will be colder with plenty more snow for millions of people who live in major cities, but that won’t be the case everywhere.
