I hate to post this but I have to. When you buy or adopt a dog, they are a “for their lifetime” commitment. When you give away your dogs, many evil people get paid $5.00-20.00 dollars to find free ones being given away online.
Then they are used for bait - yes bait for dog fights that happen all over your towns and cities.
And this is what a bait dog looks like 😔
When you give your animals away to people you don’t know, they are at a very big risk of being tortured like this poor, sweet boy until they die, get drowned, or broken apart against walls like Michael Vick enjoyed doing to his bait dogs. If you don’t believe me, go buy the MV book as it’s detailed what they found from undercover footage. Imagine that if a high profile celebrity did this what do you think happens in the areas you live. It’s a huge business and if you give away your animals without exhausting every mean possible, may you find a similar end. Sorry.. it’s just how I feel. I don’t believe that evil people change.
PLEASE, always check vet references, and take the animal to the house yourself to see what type of home they’ll be living in.
Fortunately, he was just adopted from one of our fellow rescuers’ shelter, into a loving home where he will finally get to know what love is. ❤️
If you get a dog. Keep them. Don’t pick the apartment that doesn’t take them. Don’t get one you’re allergic to and if you are, live on allergy meds. My mother in law does it and so can you. If you truly can no longer keep them, you wait until you can find a home for them and do the legwork until all avenues are exhausted. Then if all else fails, you put a rehoming fee on them because it cancels out th $20.00 the bait dog seekers will make.
So how can you help? When you see people post online about giving their animal away, share this post and the image . Tell them to ask for a rehoming fee of $100.00 .. that’s how you can do your part at the most basic level.
