Throwback Thursday!!! This historic building in Galveston is the historic Model Dairy building, originally built around 1912–1915. It once provided Galveston with fresh milk, cream, butter, cheese, and—of course—ice cream, producing up to 5,000 gallons of milk daily at its peak. The dairy served local schools and hotels and became famous for offering over 20 flavors of ice cream by the 1940s.

Today, this beautifully restored site houses both The Studio Experience art gallery and The Milk Bar - a local ice cream shop. The current owners have paid tribute to the building’s dairy history with whimsical cow murals, statues, and exhibits. Visitors can enjoy a unique blend of art, history, sweet treats, and even spiked milkshakes—all beneath the same roof where Texas families once picked up their daily milk delivery.

The opportunity to photograph this amazing building is a mooo-ment I won’t forget! 🐄 ✨
