In fact, the average nightly rental rate in the US for short-term rentals is $217/night. Depending on where your rental is, you could be charging visitors anywhere from $186 to $978/night.

💭 Did you know 78% of homebuyers say that the quality of the neighborhood is more important than the size of a prospective home, according to the National Association of Realtors? And the majority of homeowners (57%) also say they’d rather have a shorter commute than a larger lawn.

It seems like location, location, location really IS everything after all.

It’s always great to ask questions so that you can make an informed decision on whether a piece of property is right for you or not. However, remember to get as specific as possible so none of the details are lost or hidden from you.

For example, you may want to ask: “how old is the home?”, but to get a more detailed look into potential issues the house faces due to its age, ask instead: “how old are the home’s systems and features such as the electric, roof, plumbing, and HVAC?”
