💭 Did you know: According to the National Association of Realtors, 30% of vacation property owners and 32% of investment property owners are currently renting, or are planning to rent their homes, as a short-term vacation rental? And the numbers are only rising.

In fact, the average nightly rental rate in the US for short-term rentals is $217/night. Depending on where your rental is, you could be charging visitors anywhere from $186 to $978/night.

It’s always great to ask questions so that you can make an informed decision on whether a piece of property is right for you or not. However, remember to get as specific as possible so none of the details are lost or hidden from you.

For example, you may want to ask: “how old is the home?”, but to get a more detailed look into potential issues the house faces due to its age, ask instead: “how old are the home’s systems and features such as the electric, roof, plumbing, and HVAC?”
