These are the fall traditions in and around Northwest Houston, Texas worth putting on your calendar every year.

Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my Guide to Living In & Around Northwest Houston.

A few I’d start with this October:

🍂 Fall Festival at P-6 Farms in Montgomery

🍺 Oktoberfest at Paradigm Brewing Company in Tomball

🍷 A fall afternoon at Bernhardt Winery in Plantersville

🎃 Fall photos at Rosehill Pumpkins in Tomball

🏈 A Friday night game at Tomball ISD Stadium

🌽 A hayride and corn maze at Old Time Christmas Tree Farm near Stuebner Airline

Save this for your next free weekend in Harris County, Texas.

If someone shot a 90s rom com in NW Houston in the fall, these are the five places they’d film it.

Fall around Tomball and Magnolia, Texas has its own kind of movie magic.

The Book Attic in Tomball, Texas is where you lose forty minutes browsing the shelves and maybe have the obligatory meet-cute in the fiction section.

Then there’s Tomball Farmers Market on a Saturday morning. Coffee in hand, something fresh for dinner, and absolutely no reason to rush home.

Leaf Petal Stem Tea in Old Town Spring feels like it belongs in the movie already. Order a pot of tea, wander the historic streets afterward, and pretend you don’t know exactly how this story ends.

And because this is Texas, our quirky fall date involves the Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission. Costumes, turkey legs, live entertainment, and just enough chaos for the montage.

For the final scene, head to Lone Pint Brewery in Magnolia. Grab a b**r, sit outside, and stay awhile.

What would you add? Tell me the NW Houston spot you’d put in the montage.

I first moved to Tomball, Texas in 2004, but I was born and raised in the Houston area.

Here’s what I think you need to know.

Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my Moving to Tomball Guide.

I moved to Tomball in 2004 for a job teaching first grade. A lot has changed since then, including my address and my career, but Tomball is still a place I know well and work in today.

1. 2920 at 5pm is not the fast way, no matter what your GPS says.

2. The Tomball Farmers Market on Main Street runs on Saturday mornings, and it’s worth the trip.

3. Do your H-E-B run on a Tuesday. You’ll thank me.

4. Tomball ISD game days change the traffic on Cypress Rosehill, Telge, Boudreaux, and 2920.

5. Order the fritaffle and fresh-pressed juice at Re:Bar Cafe on Main Street. Every single time.

6. Your first summer here is the hardest one. It gets easier.

If you live in Tomball, TX, what would you add to the list?

The Tomball and Magnolia, Texas spots I’d send you to before anywhere else.

These are the small businesses and local spots around Tomball and Magnolia where I actually spend my money, and the ones I send clients to when they’re getting settled in Northwest Houston.

• Karma Kolache. Get the eggs and grits kolache and do not leave without a cronut. Croissant meets doughnut, and yes, it’s as good as it sounds.

• Tejas BBQ. The brisket is world-famous and has a tendency to sell out, so this is not the place to show up late and hope for the best.

• Little Craft Place. The wall of rainbow washi tape gets me every time. Stationery, notebooks, watercolors, stickers, stamps, and a ton of other things you didn’t know you needed.

• The Arbor Gate. Plants, garden supplies, and classes. One of those places where you go in for one thing and leave planning an entirely new garden.

• Honor Society. Delicious coffee, excellent service, and that small-town feel that makes you want to stay awhile.

These are the places that make Tomball and Magnolia feel like home.

Saturday morning coffee. A stop for plants. Brisket for lunch. Wandering Downtown Tomball. Finding a local shop you start going back to often enough that they know you.
That’s the part of living here I love showing people.

Tag the Tomball or Magnolia spot I missed. I’m always adding to the list.

Controversial ways I run my real estate business

If you want an agent in Northwest Houston, TX who works this way, comment START and I’ll message you how to get started working with me.

Some of how I run my business isn’t standard. I’ve made my peace with that.

I take on a limited number of clients each year across Tomball, Spring, Cypress, Klein, and Magnolia. It’s one way I make sure every buyer and seller gets an exceptional experience and real results.

I won’t tell you what you want to hear just to win your listing. An honest strategy is the one that lets us both win.

If I’m not the right fit for you, I’ll say so and refer you to someone who is. The commission has never been worth being the wrong person for the job.

I won’t let you overpay or buy the wrong house, even if it means we keep looking a little longer.

If you’re looking for representation in Northwest Houston Texas that does things differently, send me a DM or fill out the form in my bio and I’ll be in touch.
