Today we will focus on pace of sales, which refers to the number of days a property is on the market.

According to Realtor.com, homes are currently selling in 53 days on average, which is 12 days faster than this time last year, and one day faster than last week. With buyer demand showing no signs of slowing, homes are expected to continue selling quickly, despite a depleted supply.

Home price refers to the increase or decrease in real estate asking prices. Due to the current high level of demand and historically low interest rates, the average price of a single-family home in Houston was $334,256 in August, which is a 7.8% increase over August 2019.
