Strawberry Basil Margarita 🍓 🌱 😋
(loosely based on the famous Under the Volcano recipe)

3 Strawberries (clean, stemmed, quartered)
2-3 sprigs of fresh Basil (tear into pieces)
2 oz Tequila (*something good and smooth but don't waste your top-of-the-line sipping tequila on a cocktail)
1 oz Lime juice (fresh squeezed)
1 oz Agave or Simple Syrup - more or less to your preference

Muddle strawberries, basil, lime juice, agave/simple syrup in a shaker or a wide mouth glass. (Wooden spoon handle makes a good muddler in a pinch)
Add Tequila and ice - shake or stir to mix well
Pour into a sugar rimmed glass, garnish with a strawberry slice and basil leaf, and ENJOY!

*Wanna uplevel? Finely dice a tiny bit of fresh jalapeño to add to the muddle mixture! 🌶️

I've been fielding some very interesting phone calls from clients and friends who are trying to wrap their head around these recent changes. Guys, it's gonna be ok! This is why you rely on monster negotiators like me.

IYKYK - I spend hours every week hunting down the elusive commercial real estate agent. Yesterday I was so shocked that one answered (on the first ring!) that I choked on my coffee, forgot how to talk, and got the hiccups! 🤣

home is... COMMUNITY

For almost 30 years I have been a proud part of the Houston area belly dance community. What started out as taking a beginner lesson after seeing a famous dancer at the Texas Renaissance Festival quickly developed into a career of performing, teaching, and (most importantly) experiencing the community this dance brings together. My mentor recently passed away and left the school she opened in 1981 to me with the expectation that I would protect and nurture it. Assignment understood! 🫡

Here are some pics from the first class of the New and Improved Sirrom School of Dance! 💃 Ladies came from far and wide to be a part of this community and it felt just like HOME.

What does Home mean to you?
