Thank you God for another year of life and a new decade! See ya later twenties, hello thirties! Here we come 😇
Looking back at my twenties it definitely was not what I expected. Some were a good unexpected and some quite not as much. Nonetheless overall, I’d say my twenties was way better than expected because of the people God has brought into my life and the better opportunities presented and lessons learned.
Some key lessons I learned in my twenties are:
1. Just follow God’s plan for it’s the low hanging fruit in your life. He has a plan for you already so don’t try to guess or make up your own. Your plan sucks. Trust me, Learning the hard way definitely sucks wayyyy more 🙃 just ask the Holy Spirit, he’ll always point you in the right direction.
2. Invest in yourself as much as you can. I noticed the more money I invested in myself the better wisdom and people I got around me (part of it thankfully to the Holy Spirit). I’m not referring to the fancy degrees that the school system pushes. I’m talking about getting into the right masterminds, events, etc that atleast have three zeros and a comma per event. You want as much skin in the game and your results will reflect that. I used to be suuuuppeeerr frugal with money to the point if there was something free I was always there and I would cringe if I had to pay. I learned free things don’t get you anywhere.
3. There’s no greater honor from God than being closer to and partnering with Him. I’d say the biggest thing I wish I did sooner was give my life to Jesus and leave Catholicism. I say that because when your rock bottom hits rock bottom you’ll really see where your relationship with Jesus is. I was deceived by tradition thinking I had a relationship with God in good and bad times but when the enemy came to really play, boy did I get knocked out!! The enemy really does know if you are getting closer to God and he’ll do whatever to beat the crap out of you. Thankfully when you’re saved, Jesus always wins 😇
Cheers to El Shaddai!
