I am elated to announce that this incredibly sweet family has achieved their goal of homeownership! Their initial interest was in a property I had listed that was already under contract. I kept in touch and closely watched the area to meet their specific location needs for their children. After a prolonged search beginning in February and navigating numerous challenges, including low inventory, outbidding on properties, and even a hurricane just days before closing, we have finally made it to the closing table!! As warmer weather approaches, it's essential to ensure your home is prepared for the season ahead. From inspecting smoke detectors and outdoor lighting to maintaining barbecue grills and pool equipment, taking proactive safety measures can help protect your home and family. Here are some key tips to get started:

Inspect and replace batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms, as well as inspect outdoor lighting and security systems for proper functioning.Inspect and clean barbecue grills, as well as clear debris and vegetation from around outdoor fire pits and chimneys to reduce the risk of accidental fires.Inspect window and door locks to ensure they are functioning properly, and review your home security measures such as window locks and door sensors for added peace of mind.Inspect and repair outdoor structures such as decks, fences and sheds to address any damage or wear before it becomes a safety hazard. Apply a fresh coat of sealant or paint to protect against weather damage.Inspect and repair pool equipment so it’s ready for the season — and don’t forget to clean and cycle the water and balance chemicals.
