Most accessible bathrooms give themselves away in two seconds. But not this one!

The handrails are brass — same finish, same weight, same family as the towel bar, the faucet, the shower head, the pulls. Against vertical fluted tile in a warm wood grain, they read as hardware, not equipment.

The stone floor runs flat into the shower with no curb to break it. The vanity opens through the middle but sits between drawers and under marble, so it reads as a dressing table. The mirror is full-length and framed — closet-scale, and completely at home in a bathroom.

Accessibility didn't get added to this room. It got specified alongside everything else.

Today we're celebrating one of the people who keeps our job sites running smoothly — Daniel Aguilar, project manager extraordinaire. From coordinating crews to keeping our builds on track and our clients smiling, Daniel brings dedication and a steady hand to every project he touches.

Thank you for everything you do to help our clients' dream homes come to life!

Most people looked at this 1960 midcentury home and saw a teardown. We saw a vision that's waiting to be brought to life.

Built in Hunters Creek Village around a central courtyard, this home had good bones buried under decades of deferred maintenance — low ceilings, dated systems, a layout waiting to be reimagined.

So we didn't erase what made it special. We elevated it.

We raised ceilings throughout and wrapped the reimagined atrium in a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass system, framed in Ipe. In the family room, a wood-clad sloped ceiling now draws your eye up the moment you walk in. The primary suite gained a steam shower, a soaking tub, a limestone vanity, and a walk-in closet lined in walnut built-ins — with a nine-foot solid walnut door as the portal between bedroom and bath.

This is what happens when a builder, an architect, and a designer stay aligned from the first sketch to the final finish. We gave feedback on cost and buildability while the plans were still on paper — so the design that got drawn is the design that got built.

Taken back to its original glory, then taken further.

Built alongside our partners at Brickmoon Design and Sara Hillery Interior Design.

Meet Jacob Mendoza, one of the Project Managers behind every successful Crafted project.

Jacob has a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of architectural plans, allowing him to catch the small things that make a big difference long before they become costly problems. He works closely with our clients, architects, designers, and trade partners to make sure every detail is executed the way it was intended.

What sets Jacob apart is his commitment to collaboration. He believes the best homes come from listening, communicating, and working alongside homeowners every step of the way. Whether it's answering questions, navigating challenges, or finding the right solution, he's always focused on delivering the best possible outcome for each family we serve.

At Crafted, great homes don't happen by accident—they're built by people who care. Jacob is one of those people.

This 1960s house sat on the market for a long time and desperately needed an update.

Nobody could see past the problems created from decades of additions with no cohesive design.

For this Piney Point Village ranch, the plan meant removing walls and adding steel beams to open the family room, entry, and kitchen. Floor-to-ceiling glass at the entry and primary bath to bring the outside in. A second floor over the garage. A backyard and pool completely reimagined for hosting.

Swipe to see where it started — and where it ended up.

A 1960s relic, rebuilt to stand for the next 60 years.

"Every other builder was bidding for free."

That's what JR told us when he and his wife started this journey.

When JR first met Crafted, he was skeptical to pay for Preconstruction. He was already receiving estimates from other builders for free.

However, he wanted more than an estimate. He wanted clarity.

But once preconstruction began, the clarity showed up. His questions got answered. The fears that came with those free bids disappeared.

Now they're wrapping up framing on a home they love — and still enjoying the process.

That was the goal from day one.
