As I think back on the homes I have owned, or the apartments I have leased in my life, it brings back both happy and bittersweet memories.
A few years ago, I found myself looking for an apartment in Dallas that I could afford after a breakup. It was the first time I had lived in an apartment in 20 years. I just needed a place to rebuild myself and my business so that I could afford to move back home. I furnished it with used couches from Habitat for Humanity, a second hand store. At the time, it was embarrassing. But now, looking back, that tiny place became part of such an important lesson in my life. Now, that tiny place and that used furniture is what I see in my mind when I think about how proud I am of where I am today.
It's always been a beautiful experience helping each of my clients make such a huge decision in their lives. Buying, selling, and renting all carry the same weight for me as a Realtor. In different stages of our lives, “home” can mean many different things. It’s not always about finding your forever…sometimes it’s just about the stepping stones.
Thank you to my clients, old and new, that have trusted me over the years. Your kind words echo in my mind often and keep me motivated!
