If you’re selling real estate in Montgomery County and North Houston, knowing the houses is only part of the job.
You need to know the communities too.
I had the opportunity to listen to superintendents from Conroe ISD, Montgomery ISD, Magnolia ISD, Tomball ISD and Willis ISD speak at HAR Montgomery today, and there were SO many things Realtors need to hear.
Tomball ISD talked about growing from around 9,000 students to nearly 25,000.
But one of my biggest takeaways wasn’t even about the numbers.
It was how much these districts WANT Realtors to be connected.
They want us asking questions.
They want us learning what’s happening.
They want us understanding the programs, growth, challenges and opportunities within these schools.
Because when a family asks us about an area, there is so much more to the story than a rating on a website.
One of my favorite comments of the morning was:
“The better the schools do, the more the houses sell for and everything is better.”
Schools, neighborhoods, development and real estate are all connected.
So if you’re a Realtor, don’t just become the expert on the houses.
Magnolia ISD shared that they’ve added 560 students just since the beginning of this school year
and currently have around 62 neighborhoods building homes.
So to all our amazing realtors in the Greater Houston area
Become the expert on the community.
Go to the district meetings. Meet the people. Ask questions. Learn what is being built and what is coming next.
That knowledge matters when you’re helping someone decide where they’re going to call home.
