Houston is quietly becoming the country’s capital of homes for sale.
The city now has more than 42,000 active listings, the largest inventory in the nation, and a sharp rise from both last year and last month. No other major market is adding supply at this pace, according to Homes.com data.
A surge of master-planned communities, especially in Katy and around Lake Conroe, is driving the expansion. Single-family listings are up 16% year over year, and townhome and condo inventory has climbed nearly 30% 🏠
