Zillow does not have your best interest at heart, and I encourage that you stop using their website and use the HAR.COM, or COMPASS.COM. This is the same company that promised to never compete with Real Estate Agents. Then they turned around and started their own ibuyer competing brokerage after building their company on the backs of agents who paid them millions in marketing for years. It was an epic failure and they closed that business within a very short period of time.
Now they are attempting to monopolize the industry as a whole by punishing brokerages, sellers, and buyers alike, who do not follow Zillow's strict criteria. Want to sell your home off market? Zillow not only won't list your off market home, but they won't even allow it on their site if your agent has attempted to list the property off market at any point. Not even once you go live on the MLS. They are attempting to dictate how Sellers can choose to market and sell their homes, and now they are withholding properties from buyers on their site, so they are turning on Sellers, Buyers, and Agents all at the same time.
