Yesterday was a day I’ll never forget. Two closings. Two very different stories. ❤️🏡
The first closing was a tough one. Real estate isn’t always rainbows and butterflies. There are challenges, tough conversations, and moments where you wonder if you’ll ever make it to the closing table. But we did! My sweet seller had already purchased their new home, so getting their previous home sold was the final piece of the puzzle. Yesterday, they were finally able to close that chapter and fully focus on making their new house a home. That’s what makes all the hard work worth it.
The second closing was much more personal… my mom’s house.
Moving my mom out of the home she loved and into assisted living was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Once that decision was made, I knew I needed to get her home ready to sell, and I wasn’t going to cut corners. We painted, installed new carpet, refreshed the landscaping, replaced broken mini blinds, and had the house professionally cleaned.
So many people asked me, “Do you think you’ll get all that money back in this market?”
My answer was always the same: “I don’t know. But I do know that if I don’t do it, the house will probably sit.”
Well… four days on the market, and we received a full-price offer! 🙌
That wasn’t just a successful sale. It was one less thing weighing on my heart while caring for my mom through this season. Anyone who has cared for an aging parent knows it can be emotionally and physically exhausting. Being able to check this off my plate is a blessing.
I’m incredibly grateful for both closings and for everyone who trusted me through them. God continues to remind me that even on the hard days, He is faithful.
Now… onto the next chapter. 💙
