I lost my buddy today. My best friend, Freedom, died of canine cancer. For the last 6 years, Freedom was my sidekick as I "went on walkabout" from Houston to Antiqua, Guatemala; Galveston to Portland and Seattle to the San Juan Islands. Newport Beach, Denver and the Upper East Side in NYC where he charmed all the doormen for treats. I will miss his tail that wagged so fast when he saw me every.single.time and his sweet kisses that woke me up at 7am like clockwork. Fly high and swift, my friend. Till we meet again.
