🍫 Happy World Chocolate Day! 🍫

I may not be an expert on many things, but I am fairly committed to chocolate. 😄

Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate cake... honestly, I'm not very picky. Life is just a little sweeter with a bit of chocolate in it.

🚨 PUBLIC NOTICE🚨

Traps collected by Brazoria County Mosquito Control District on July 1, 2026, contained mosquitoes that tested positive for West Nile Virus.

📍 The mosquito traps were located at:
➡️ 1. Heron Lane, Pearland
➡️ 2. Southwyck Parkway and County Road 94, Pearland

Mosquito Control will treat the affected area and retest again next week.

Residents are encouraged to help protect themselves from mosquito bites by following these suggestions:

✔️Use insect repellent containing DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus.
✔️Wear light colored, loose-fitting, long-sleeved shirts and pants to limit exposed skin.
✔️Remove standing water around your home. Make sure flower pots, water dishes, bird baths, and wading pools are properly drained.
✔️Stay indoors at dusk and dawn, when mosquitoes are most active.
