One aspect of listing your home is preparing for the showings, open houses and broker opens. When potential Buyers enter your home, you want them focused on your home and the features that check the boxes on their wish list. Avoid the Buyers' first impression of watching their agent struggle with the door lock, avoid distractions of valuables on display or personal information. During open houses, directional signs advertising the open house often bring the public to view your home. Ensure that your home is de-personalized with valuables and temptations are locked safely away.

🚨 West Nile Virus Detected in Alvin 🚨

The Brazoria County Mosquito Control District has confirmed West Nile Virus in a mosquito pool collected on Winding Wood Dr. & SH 35 in Alvin (tested 10/1/25).

👉 Spraying trucks will treat the area two times per night for the next three nights.
👉 The area will be re-trapped and tested again next week.

🦟 To help reduce mosquito activity around your home:
• Dump standing water (birdbaths, buckets, plant saucers, etc.)
• Use insect repellent with DEET
• Wear long sleeves and pants when outdoors at dusk and dawn
