I see so many first time homebuyers wanting to spend as much as they can on their new home. It can be tempting, but being a homeowner is a long game.
The important thing to ask yourself is “can I comfortably pay my monthly payment and have enough leftover to add to your emergency fund and pay for any unexpected repairs?”
This is another reason it is important to get pre-approved so that you can start your home search with feasible expectations.
