🎄🎅🎁As some of you know, when I am not working in a real estate capacity, I work full time at the North Houston Regional Processing and Distribution Center. As a mail handler for USPS, I work in the department that handles the incoming mail (First Class, Prioroty, Express) that is flown on UPS coast to coast. Please take my advice when sending packages: 1) If at all possible, use the FREE boxes that are provided for Priority Mail. You’ll get the best pricing and can send packages weighing up to 70lbs. 2) If you use your own packaging, make absolutely sure you pack the box well and seal it well! Do not use flimsy packaging and tape all sides/seams. 3) Don’t put the package label over the box seam because when a package bursts open the seam is the first thing that breaks and your label could get lost 4) Tape should go around ALL sides of the box and overlap on itself because tape will stick well to itself. Tape doesn’t always stick well to cardboard.
If you follow these guidelines your packages should arrive safely and not look like the example below! Also, be mindful of posted mailing deadlines! The processing facilities, including mine, are processing mail 24/7 but the volume is high! We want to get your packages delivered on time for the holidays!
Thank you all for using USPS and helping to pay towards my retirement since I haven’t made it to millionaire status as a Realtor yet 😂🎄🎁
