My Fairy Tale Real Estate Story

When I was a little girl, I used to hang out with my Aunt who owned a Real Estate Company in Long Island, New York and my Godmother who worked there. I was sad at first that my mom dropped me off in some strange place in my best dress with my pigtails, holding my chocolate pudding...but now that I look back, I realize this was the beginning of my Love for the Real Estate Business!

After Graduating from Alief Elsik High School, I decided to take classes at The Spencer School of Real Estate in Sugar Land & began working on my Real Estate Salesperson License which I received in 1989 along with becoming a member of the Houston Assocation of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. I then started my career at 19 years old at a local ERA (Donna Kunesh) office where I met a great group of people who helped me begin to learn the ins & outs of my chosen career. Back then, there were no computers! We had a Property Book, a Phone, a Beeper and a funny looking Lockbox Key that had a unique set of grooves that were meant just for me! I was so Excited!

After 3 years of trying to be a REALTOR, I decided I needed to learn everything I possibly could learn about this Real Estate Business so I went to go work at 1 of the biggest most prestigious firms in Houston: John Daugherty, Realtors on Post Oak! I became an assistant to several Top Producers including Betty Groth, Lynn Mather, Pama Abercrombie & Barbara Josephson.

I thought I was excited before, but this was my dream come true. I loved being at JDR & I loved being an assistant in Memorial, The Villages, River Oaks, Tanglewood, etc.
