🎈 With Howell Balloonfest just a few weeks away, I found myself reminiscing about one of my favorite experiences ever.

A few years ago, I had the incredible opportunity to take flight in a hot air balloon with pilot Denny. What started as an exciting adventure turned into a friendship with one of my favorite people. Denny's passion for ballooning is contagious, and seeing Livingston County from above through his eyes was something I'll never forget.

There's something magical about floating quietly over Thompson Lake as the sun rises, watching the world wake up below you. No engines. No traffic. Just breathtaking views and a perspective of our community that very few people ever get to experience.

The experience made such an impact on me that when I saw then local artist Eric Siebeneck's beautiful "Balloons Over Thompson Lake" artwork selected for Brighton's Art in the Alley, I had to bring it home. It now serves as a daily reminder of that unforgettable morning in the sky.

If you've never experienced Howell Balloonfest, make plans for June 26-28. It's one of the many things that makes Livingston County such an incredible place to live, work, and play.
