What does a real estate agent in Livingston County actually do all day? 🏡😂

Apparently, a lot of things that would raise some serious questions in any other career!

Taking photos of water heaters, knowing way too much about strangers’ finances, checking in on houses like they’re my own, and getting emotionally invested in whether my clients get the home. Just another day in real estate! 🤣

But honestly, behind all the craziness is one thing that never changes: putting people over paychecks and making sure my clients feel taken care of every step of the way. 💙

The longer I’m in real estate, the more I realize success isn’t just about how many homes you sell. 🏡

It’s about the things you don’t always see behind the scenes.

Knowing when to tell a client to slow down before making a big decision. Catching the details that could cause problems later. Having the right people in your corner when something unexpected happens just days before closing.

Since becoming a full-time Realtor in 2009, I’ve learned that the best part of this business isn’t the flashy numbers or a packed calendar. It’s being someone my clients can trust when it matters most. 💙

I believe in being honest, putting people before paychecks, and making sure my clients understand their options, even when the conversation isn’t necessarily what they hoped to hear.

Because at the end of the day, buying or selling a home is about so much more than a transaction. It’s about making big decisions with confidence and knowing someone genuinely has your best interests at heart.

That’s the kind of Realtor I strive to be, and the kind of experience my team and I want every client to have.

A lot of real estate advice sounds smart simply because we’ve heard it a hundred times. 🤭

But just because something has always been said doesn’t mean it still applies to today’s market.

“Wait until spring.”
“Price it high and come down later.”
“You need 20% down.”

These aren’t automatically right or wrong. The problem is treating them like rules instead of looking at the actual situation in front of you. 👏

The right timing depends on the current market and your goals.
The right price depends on what buyers are responding to.
And the right financing strategy depends on your situation, available loan options, and budget.

That’s why I’d rather give my clients context than a canned answer.

Real estate decisions should be based on what’s happening now, not advice that worked 10 or 20 years ago. 🏡
