❤️ Three years ago, I made a decision to join Engel & Völkers, and today I’m feeling incredibly thankful that I’m still right here.

Each year, 20,000 U.S. teens age out of foster care, which means they no longer receive housing or financial support. Beth Fernandez Everett, a REALTOR® with Premiere Property Group LLC in Lake Oswego, Ore., makes that transition to life on their own a little easier by building move-out kits. She asks friends and colleagues to donate toward baskets worth about $300 for young people moving in to their first apartment. This year’s 24 kits include basic necessities like dishes and other kitchen essentials, towels, shower curtain, bedding, cleaning supplies and hygiene items to get them started on their new journey.

“Imagine entering the world on your own,” says Everett, “and being welcomed with these essentials.”
