I took roughly 150 pictures today on this new build. Here are some photos of one issue observed.

From the exterior, the two drain vents through the roof look fine, but once I get into the attic it’s a different story. All of the drain vent piping was disconnected in the attic. So everytime it rains water would be running down the vent and into the attic space. Also the fittings and piping that looked to be together were loose to the touch and not primed/glued. Simple fixes but it wouldn’t take long for moisture damage and possible mold to occur if left this way.

I will be making a post regarding the issues with the attic insulation soon.

I’ve been inspecting new construction all weekend in Pittsburg and Mount pleasant. It’s crazy to me that people would choose to not have their new home Inspected before closing and moving in. I’ll be making a post this evening with a few examples on why that is a bad decision.
