Have your child fill out an "All About My Dad" interview.

Ask questions like:
• How old is Dad?
• What does Dad do all day?
• What is Dad's favorite thing to do?
• What makes Dad laugh?

The answers are the gift.

Don't be surprised if you learn Dad is 100 years old, works at "work," and spends his free time "paying bills."

Pair it with a drawing of Dad doing his favorite thing, and you've got a keepsake he'll treasure forever (even if the drawing ends up looking suspiciously like Dad sitting on the toilet 😂).

Sometimes the funniest and most memorable gifts are the simplest ones.

Heading out of town this summer? Whether you're taking a weekend getaway or an extended vacation, the Huntington Beach Police Department offers a free Vacation House Check program to help give residents added peace of mind while they're away.

Through the HBPD's Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), trained volunteers conduct exterior security checks of your property and notify police immediately if they observe any suspicious activity.

✅ Free for Huntington Beach residents
✅ Exterior security inspections while you're away
✅ Suspicious activity reported immediately to HBPD
✅ Detailed report provided upon your return

📅 Schedule at least one week before your trip
