We are crying over spilled milk (and eggs) today! Not only did we lose our egg supplier last month but sometime over the weekend our large walk-in cooler went out, wiping out our last delivery of eggs, 450 dozen, and a large supply of purchased and donated milk. This is a setback for sure; both of these items are such good sources of protein for our neighbors!
Our food pantry donors are so generous with pantry staples such as cereal, rice, and canned goods but today we have a different need. Most people don't think of donating perishable items but that is exactly what we need right now! We share over 100 dozen eggs per week with our neighbors. They are a good source of protein and nutrition and a versatile protein - eggs work for breakfast, lunch or dinner! While we are seeking a new source to purchase eggs from can you help by donating a dozen or two? You can drop them off anytime we are open or email Erin, [email protected], to arrange a drop off time. Thank you for helping to feed our neighbors!
Finally, a huge thank you to Lime City Dumpsters for getting a dumpster out to us and picked back up in record time! It crushed us to throw all of that out but we are grateful we didn't have to find a way to load it up and haul it away. You were the bright spot in our day!
