Many and many a year ago, (circa 2002) when I first joined Century 21 Family Realty, I met the most beautiful soul I have ever known in real estate circles, Gloria Volpe. She was exactly what Lucille Ball would have been, had she gone into real estate. NEVER a dull moment. She actually sold a guy's house once and then arranged a deal for him to have a live-in female companion. You never knew what was coming next with her. The world lost her a few years ago but those memories still make me smile. Last night her grandson, Anthony, hit a grand slam to keep the Yankees faint World Series hopes alive. I wish she were around so I could see the beautiful smile on her face.

Happy to announce that as of Monday, I am hanging my license with the John J Flynn agency right here in Kings Park. With my prior employer I had "global" reach but that never put a single peso, lire, sheckel, franc or yen in my pocket. I am hoping that being local works better. Excited to be with Kings Park's oldest realtor and work with my good friend Larry Flynn.

ok Notre Dame Football Fans, you have until Saturday's kickoff against Louisville to get your pick to me (text 631-523-7863) for how many points you think the Irish will score this year in their 12 regular season games. So far I only have 5 picks in. Thus far, the Irish have scored 131 points in 4 games so they are tracking toward 393. But as I have said previously, their schedule is full of cupcake games so I am expecting them to push 500. You make your own choice. You can view their remaining schedule by googling ND football 2024. Winner is the closest without going over. I hadn't published a real estate newsletter in nearly a year but when I did, the results were astounding. I usually hear from a few people but I send it to over 400, so I could expect at least a few. This time, comments and hellos have been pouring in from around the country. Last night I got a text from a former Grumman pal and my old softball coach, Barry Gardner. Barry lives just outside of West Palm in Fla and Carol and I are headed that way in a month. Guess who we'll be having lunch with? The beauty of the newsletter isa that for 23 years it has kept me connected to old friends. Oh yeah, the business it generates is a plus also.

How hot is Huntington Laffey, you ask? How's this for a fantastic Friday. 3 listings for $250K, $579K and $599K in Island Park, Huntington and Shirley respectively. Couple that with a closing for $710K in Lynbrook and throw in a home inspection in Huntington for a $600K property. Oh yeah, offers are pouring in already on Island Park. We're going to have a lot to celebrate tomorrow at our Preakness Party.
