Why do our guests prefer us over a hotel? It’s not just the separate bedrooms, or the extra half bath, or the fully stocked full kitchen, or the living room, or the large fully stocked laundry room, or the outdoor patio with a flat top grill and. . .we think you get the picture. It’s also the price. We compared the *cheapest* of the seven hotels closest to downtown with two Queen beds on a random March Friday and Saturday stay:

Their total cost? $318.13

The Southside Suite: $300.00 with everything included.

And remember, that was the cheapest hotel under five miles to downtown.

• Fri and Sat - $150/night
• Marshall home football game Fri and Sat - $250/
night; $400 for both nights
• Any seven night stay - $700 total

We were thrilled to host this person for two weeks and wanted to provide him a home away from home while in Huntington. He was an absolute pleasure to host and we enjoyed showing him around the Huntington and Southside areas to welcome him in.

One of the features of The Southside that stands out from other places to stay is the shared outdoor patio and yard. Whether during the day or during the evening, it is a cozy and quiet place to enjoy the Southside. Unwind with an evening drink. Have brunch on the weekend. Enjoy that morning cup of coffee or tea while browsing the paper or social media. Whatever you decide to do, you won’t get that at a hotel.
