We all dream of picture perfect transactions. And usually, things go pretty smoothly! Every now and then, for no particular reason, a deal comes along that just feels harder thank we’d like! Today, Mark and I closed on a home purchase that officially takes the gold medal for being the most stressful deal I’ve ever done 🤪
My sweet first time homebuyers had to face so many hurdles throughout this transaction, from a limited selection of homes being available, inspection issues, appraisal coming in low, seller being unwilling to negotiate fairly throughout the process, the bank putting a 7 day hold on the funds needed for closing, power outages at the bank when we needed time sensitive verifications done, final walkthrough not going well due to seller not completing agreed upon inspection items……. Basically, If it could go wrong, it did!
Through it all, Taylor and McKenna kept positive, followed our advice and enlisted the help of their parents when needed. After closing was already delayed by several days, we woke up today not knowing if we’d be able to make the closing happen or not….. in this deal’s true spirit, we had to scramble around and drove over an hour away just to make the closing happen today…. BUT WE DID IT!

We got the final piece needed around 10:00 a.m., clear to close around 10:30 this morning and fully closed and funded by 3:30pm. It’s an honor to get to work with my Husband (even if neither of us had been able to sleep for the past week!)
