Pierces room is done. And this stage of life is weird. I’m designing spaces in our home that will have a different function in just a few years. When my oldest son is off adulting, my middle child will move into his bedroom and this room will turn back into an office. I’ve never had to think like that before because… military life. So the permanent features I chose had to work well with a bed and in the future, a desk. I might change up the paint color in the transition but I won’t need to redo the wainscoting. (This color is SW mountain road and alabaster).

It was fun watching make over this massive piece of furniture. It was his first time using a paint sprayer and he did a great job. It looks straight out of a restoration hardware catalog now! I love that he wants to learn this stuff. And you’re welcome, future wife ;)

September resolution: I decided to add more still photos to my feed. I’ve grappled with the grams policy of only showing your feed to followers if it’s in reel form. And I’ve decided to stubbornly defy for now. So you’ll probably have to physically look up my profile if you still want to still see my content or stories. I get to feel like I have some semblance of control over my own page and will also end up with a beautiful portfolio to look at. Win/win? You can’t tell me what to do gram, I’m a frickin 8w7.

Full disclosure: I moved back in my teenagers muddy cleats and Xbox and school crap after these photos were taken. But for a solid 10 minutes, it looked reeeeeal good. Paint color is SW moody blue on the ceiling and alabaster on the walls. I’ll post links and chat about the space in my stories later.

Phase 1 of the kitchen renovation is officially finished! Let’s play spot the differences. Phase 2 is mostly work on the island. I love that I was able to change the look of this space just by updating the perimeter. It definitely feels more me.

Have you been following along in my stories with the transformation of this cutie I picked up from booth at ?!? In it’s former life it was an antique library table and now it lives on as a media console. For now anyways ;) It will move to my entry way after a few renovations. That’s the beauty of transitional pieces.
