Interesting Huntsville Historical Factoids:

Built in 1900, Lincoln Mill has a unique and storied history. The original building housed Madison Spinning Company, but as the industry grew, so did the Mill and construction of new buildings commenced. During the early 1900's, Lincoln Mill became Alabama's largest cotton mill. In 1955, the Lincoln Mill buildings were converted to offices that saw dynamic innovations to the space industry including the design of the Apollo Lunar Roving Vehicle by Brown Engineering. In 1980, the original two buildings were destroyed by fire leaving the 1920's era third building and the Dye house, both of which joined the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
