Not gonna lie, y’all — this one was a doozie!
One day I got a random call from someone who was referred by another agent to me. This agent told them that, “Alexis is the one who can handle tough situations.” (Flattered!!) This seller had already lost over 280 days on market with another agent, and from the very beginning, I told him this wasn’t exactly my forte… but I was confident in my abilities and ready for the challenge.
In the weeks leading up to listing, I was knee-deep in calls — between myself, my client, and the bank — gathering every piece of information I thought I needed.
Once we hit the market, things exploded. 🚀 Over 20 showings in 48 hours, lots of sight-unseen interest, and three written contracts in hand within just a few days.
And then… a big, red stop sign.
It felt like starting from scratch. Every call was a dead end — but I refused to take “no” for an answer. After 10 days and hours on the phone, persistence paid off. I finally got the yes we needed. 🙌
From there, my mission was to make sure this deal stayed together. I coordinated constant communication, connected every moving piece, negotiated repairs, and kept all parties aligned until we hit that golden message every REALTOR® loves to see: CLEAR TO CLOSE!
