Residents and guests will notice surveying / construction activity in between the 900 and 1000 buildings in the coming weeks. We are taking steps to assess the extent of the damage to the parking area and making a plan for how to perform repairs.

Please be alert and use extra caution in the area as this project progresses.

🔨 Construction Update: Re-Roofing in Progress! 🏗️

We’re excited to share that re-roofing work is well underway on Buildings 5 and 10! This important phase is part of our commitment to maintaining safe, durable, and efficient facilities for everyone.

Our crews are making great progress while ensuring minimal disruption to daily activities. We appreciate your patience and support as we continue investing in long-term improvements.

Residents at Highlands, you have probably noticed we are replacing a good portion of our perimeter fencing beside the 700 and 600 building and behind the 500 buildilng.

We expect freezing temperatures Sunday night through Wednesday.

Please remember to set your faucets to a slow, but steady stream, leave your heater on, even if you're not home, and open cabinets beneath your sinks to help warm air circulate.

By taking these simple steps we can avoid busted pipes and any potential damage.

Once again, we're moving into and through the hot, hot summer months . There are several things you can do to help keep your A/C running efficiently and keeping you as cool as possible:

1) Make sure you are changing your air filter monthly, as air flow is essential, make sure to install it with the arrow on the frame facing in, towards the unit

2) Keep your blinds and window coverings closed

3) Keep interior doors open so cool air can circulate more easily

4) Adjust your air vents -- close vents in rooms you are not using to help more air get to the rooms where you are most likely to need it.

5) If you've had your unit off and get home and it's hot, be careful not to turn the temperature down too much at once -- this can stress the system and not let it shut off to rest which can lead to freezing up. Turn the temperature down in increments.

6) Again, we know it's hard, but make sure not to set your thermostat too low as this will stress the system and can cause damage -- ESPECIALLY during the hottest parts of the day. Please don't set your thermostat lower than 72 during the hottest parts of the day in the Summer.

Following these steps can help keep your A/C running efficiently and prevent damage that might leave you without air conditioning until we can get a contractor out to evaluate and perform repairs (they are VERY busy in the summer and you may be looking at a day or more wait for service).

You may have noticed we're replacing some roofs at Highland Townhomes.

Building 9 was recently completed. Building 2 is now underway. Buildings 5 and 10 are next on our list. Make sure to exercise extra caution in and around the buildings where work is being done.

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:

It wouldn't be winter without a winter storm. Just in time for Christmas! 🥶❄️

I'm sure you've received our notices and phone calls -- we're expecting extremely cold temperatures Thursday night through Saturday, and then again Saturday and Sunday nights. In order to help prevent any frozen, busted pipes, please make sure to take the following steps:

1) Set all your faucets to a slow stream or steady drip, both hot and cold lines to keep the water moving in your lines.

2) Set your heater no lower than 65 degrees and leave it on, even if you leave the house or are out of town until Monday morning at the earliest.

3) Open your cabinets under your faucets to allow warm air to circulate around the supply lines and pipes.

4) If you have an outside storage closet, we have installed heating bulbs in the light fixture. We will turn these on and post a notice. PLEASE LEAVE THESE LIGHTS ON THROUGH MONDAY.

As always, if you see water flowing anywhere it shouldn't be, give us a call and alert us or our emergency answering service so we can get to it right away.

In observance of Christmas, we will close at 3:00pm Thursday December 23rd and re-open Tuesday December 28th.
