When an old neighbor sends you a video of the house you used to own… and you realize just how lucky you were that this didn’t happen while you lived there. 😳💦
A city water main broke and flooded the house. My heart goes out to the new owners—I can only imagine how stressful and upsetting this must be. No one expects to come home to something like that happening to their home.
It’s also a good reminder of how many things in homeownership are completely outside of your control. You can take great care of your home, have insurance, and still have something unexpected happen.
As a Realtor, situations like this are a reminder of why it’s so important for buyers to understand their insurance coverage and know what protections they have in place for the unexpected.
And apparently, even a few years after selling your house, an old neighbor can still send you a video that makes you say, “Ohhhh… I’m really glad that wasn’t us.” 😢💦🏡
