So, the dreaded forest tent caterpillar/army worms are back. If your grass is looking brown, despite all of this rain, you may have them. There was an epidemic of them several years ago, and it looks like they may be coming back again. Try to catch them early. Apparently, they eat the chloroform out of the grass, which takes the green out. Won’t necessarily kill it, but it definitely makes sure that it’s ugly for a very long time. If you are getting ready to sell your home, something to keep in mind. Ugly grass does not photograph well.
