🏃‍♂️ Race for Justice - Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026! ⚖️

parkrun friends and volunteers, this one's for you! Our parkrun friend and volunteer Gerri Plain is behind this fantastic event, and she'd love to see the parkrun crew out in force.

Start your Labor Day the right way: with a run, a little sweat, and a whole lot of good.

Race for Justice takes place at Wicks Family Field at Joe Davis Stadium (3125 Don Mincher Drive, Huntsville, AL), benefiting the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program, which provides free civil legal assistance to neighbors in need right here in Madison County.

Hays Farm parkrun 59 Report - August 29, 2026🏃‍♂️🌿

What a lovely way to start the weekend! Despite the warmth, that slightly lower humidity really helped keep everyone moving. We welcomed 42 finishers and a dedicated crew of 9 volunteers to another great run at Hays Farm.

First Timers (and Tourists!): ✈️ A huge welcome to our 7 first-timers at Hays Farm: Christopher Winkler, Amy Ortakales, James Varnavas, Micah Morris, Colton Robinson, K Bottoms Jones, and Dev Iyer.

Top Performances: 🥇 John Bozue led the men home in 21:14. 🥇 Barbara Didier took top spot among the women in 28:40.

We were also delighted to play host to two international tourists this week: 🌍 Benjamin Hendricks joined us from Maryland, Barbara Didier visited all the way from Austria!

Celebrating Milestones: 🎉 Huge congratulations to Cindy Cecil on completing her 10th Hays Farm parkrun! 👏 A big thank you to Samuel Laseter who has now volunteered for 10 events. You are a legend!

Personal Bests: Great efforts from Cindy Cecil, Christina Micklewright, Mason Manning, Kira Safreed, Dina Hawkins, and Tyler Brown who all set new personal bests today.

Thanks to Our Volunteers: 🙌 parkrun simply wouldn't happen without the amazing people who give up their Saturday mornings. Hays Farm parkrun started on 14th June 2025. Since then 725 participants have completed 2,233 parkruns covering a total distance of 11,165 km, including 430 new Personal Bests. A total of 104 individuals have volunteered 656 times
