Walk into the Colossal and you will immediately understand why the 2-foot difference between 16 feet wide and 18 feet wide changes everything. The kitchen counter and the living room wall are not in a standoff for space the way they are in the 16-foot models. The hallway is wide enough that two people pass without turning sideways. The master bedroom fits a king-size bed and still has floor space. This is still a single wide. It still delivers as one piece. It still fits on lots where a double wide will not. But it lives closer to a small double wide than any 16-foot single on this lot. If you are stuck between single wide and double wide, walk the Colossal first. Ask for Cody when you call.

At 32 feet wide, the living room wall-to-wall dimension is 3 to 4 feet wider than every 28-foot wide double on this lot. That gap sounds small in numbers. Standing in it, you feel it. A sectional fits. You can put a recliner in the corner without blocking the walkway. Kids can be in the same room as the TV and not be on top of each other. The living room is where most families spend most of their time at home. Getting the width right here matters more than any other single decision in the floor plan. The kitchen island in the Anniversary Islander is not the same island you see in the budget homes. It ships standard, not as an upgrade, and it runs long enough to seat three people on stools on one side while someone preps dinner on the other. The cabinet storage below the island is deep and real. There is an overhang for seating that clears the cabinet face properly so you are not sitting with your knees hitting wood. In a 1,140 square foot single wide, the island does what the open living space does in a double wide. It makes the kitchen the center of the house rather than a lane you walk through. The one upgrade I always recommend in the Real Deal is the kitchen countertop package. The Real Deal at 1,264 square feet is a compact home, and the kitchen is where you feel that most. Stepping up from laminate to solid surface at the order table is the single change that makes the kitchen feel finished rather than budget. It is also the hardest and most expensive thing to change after you move in. In a home this size, the kitchen is the room you live in. Spend the upgrade money there first, not on flooring or fixtures. The solid surface countertop in the Real Deal pays back every day you cook at home. Come walk one in person.
