Another one bites the dust…Yet another flying umbrella incident at Hurlburt Field housing.

Dearest Residents, this is exactly why pool umbrellas should be closed and secured when not in use. High winds can quickly turn them into dangerous projectiles. This umbrella was blown across the property and landed in the mulch near the playground.

Thankfully, no children were in the area at the time. A situation like this could have easily resulted in a serious injury.

Please take a moment to close and secure umbrellas, outdoor furniture, and other loose items when leaving the pool area. A simple precaution can help keep our community safe for everyone.
