Edit: If you look closely in the thermal picture there is more then just a doe and her fawn in the cattails. Can you find it? Hint- they have wings and raised in a nest.

We are optimistic that the buck will remain on the secure property for the remainder of the season, as we have obtained permission to conduct shed hunting in the area, and it would be a significant find to discover its matched antlers given their substantial mass and tine length.

The young hunters shot was a touch back with limited blood through the cattails. Up went the drone, the doe was located in her bed. After a quick battery swap 12 minutes later back overhead to verify she didn’t go far to bed again and she was dead. One happy hunter!

The hunter made the right call backing out the night before when he suspected he was pushing the buck. Located it the following morning just before daybreak 5 minutes and 3 seconds from takeoff over 500 yards from point of impact. Night mode accidentally got turned on during takeoff, sorry for no color.
