I think one of the most underrated parts of my job is being the person who says…

“Okay. Here’s what actually matters right now.”

Because buying or selling a house can get LOUD.

Your parents have an opinion.
Your friends have an opinion.
Facebook definitely has an opinion. 😂
Google has convinced you approximately 14 things are going wrong.

And meanwhile, you’re just trying to figure out whether you should buy the house, fix the thing, accept the offer, counter it, walk away, or panic. 😂

That’s where I come in.

Not to make the decision for you.

Not to pressure you into the decision that makes my job easier.

But to take all that noise and say:

Here are the facts.
Here are your options.
Here’s what I’m concerned about.
Here’s what I’m NOT concerned about.
And here’s what I would want you to understand before you decide.

I’ve realized people don’t necessarily need a Realtor who makes everything sound perfect.

They need someone who will tell them the truth.
Someone who answers the weird questions.

Someone who can say, “Yep, that looks scary, but here’s what it actually means.”

And sometimes someone who simply says…

I''ve been thinking about the word MOVING lately.

Probably because I say it all the time.

Moving day.
Moving boxes.
Moving trucks.
Moving into a new house.

It's literally part of my job.

But after years of doing this, I've realized something...

People are almost never just moving houses.

They're moving because they got married.

Because the family grew.

Because the kids grew up.

Because they're starting over.

Because someone they loved isn't there anymore.

Because the house that once fit their life doesn't anymore.

Because they've worked and saved and are finally ready.

Because life changed unexpectedly.

Or sometimes because they simply looked around one day and thought...

I don't want to stay here anymore.

And THAT is the part of real estate I've grown to understand differently.

When someone calls me about buying or selling a house, I'm usually meeting them somewhere between what their life used to look like and what they're hoping it looks like next.

That's a pretty personal place to be invited into.

And I don't take it lightly.

I don't want to just unlock doors for you.

I want to be the person who tells you when something doesn't make sense.

Who explains the uncomfortable stuff instead of avoiding it.

Who tells you the truth even when it isn't necessarily what you hoped to hear.

Who answers the questions you don't even know you should be asking yet.

Who protects your interests when emotions start taking over.

And who remembers that while this may be another transaction happening in the real estate market...

it's not “just another transaction” to you.

🏡 5 Things I Wish EVERY Buyer Knew BEFORE They Started Looking at Houses

After 11 years in real estate, I've seen enough to know that your home search should NOT start with:

"Ooooooh this one's cute!! Can we go look at it?!" 👀🏃‍♀️💨

I get it. Zillow is fun. Looking at houses is fun. Getting pre-approved and talking about finances? Maybe not quite as exciting, it's not fun, trust me, I get it.😂

BUT… doing things in the right order can save you a whole lot of disappointment, stress and scrambling later.

So we're talking about:

1️⃣ Why I want you pre-approved BEFORE we start looking.

2️⃣ Why what the bank says you can afford and what you actually feel comfortable paying every month can be two VERY different numbers. 😅

3️⃣ Why I need you to look past the ugly paint, weird light fixture and Grandma's wallpaper. 😂 The pretty stuff can be changed!

4️⃣ Why waiting until you find THE ONE to get your ducks in a row can mean watching someone else buy it. 🫠

5️⃣ And why your Realtor should be doing a WHOLE lot more than opening the front door and saying, "Soooo… what do you think?" 😂

Because here's the biggest thing:

✨ The best home searches don't start on Zillow. They start with a PLAN.

If you're thinking about buying in 3 months, 6 months, a year, or you're just sitting there thinking ...maybe someday, or I'm just window shopping because I like looking at zillow " — TALK TO ME.
