Please join us next month for our annual meeting on Thursday, October 22nd from 5-7 pm. We’ll have food and drinks, as well as presentations on our last year and hopes for the future. It will be a nice evening of community and gratitude for the people that show up every day to do this work as well as those that volunteer their time!

As the end of the summer approaches, we are feeling grateful for our beautiful garden. Volunteers from the Lamoille Area Board of Realtors showed up for us by setting this entire garden up. They came, worked, and created a beautiful thing for our shelter. The homegrown food has been greatly enjoyed by our guests, as well as the opportunity to upkeep the garden. There’s just something special about feeling the earth in your hands and helping something grow that is especially healing.

We love that we are able to offer these kinds of experiences at LCH and are forever grateful to the partners that help make it happen!

We had a wonderful staff and guest barbecue yesterday! Everyone pitched in and made delicious dishes to be shared. Staff pictured include Luke Garguilo, Todd Brown, Amy Albright, Kim Anetsberger, Jazmyn Petchel, Fiona Albright, Hailee Anetsberger, and Sage Selec.

After dinner a few staff and guests tossed a football and had conversations outside in the beautiful weather. It was a really lovely time enjoyed by all.

We definitely realized we need a new bbq though, so we’re accepting donations to get a new one so we don’t burn as many burgers next year 🤣🤣🤣 let us know if you’d like to donate to our bbq fund or if you want to gift us one, we’ll definitely accept it!

Stay tuned for a reel coming up where we prank our shelter manager, Luke! It’s quite funny!
