Low quality video lol but I’m not in idaho with my nice set up, and it’s a message that has resonated a lot with me lately.

Recently I’ve felt really excited about trying to make a small positive impact on my corner of the world.

I get a ton of fulfillment out of my role with enviroguard. I get a ton of satisfaction from helping people get into real estate investing.

They say all dogs go to heaven, and I sure hope that’s true. Bruno deserves it.

Emma and I got Bruno right after we got married. It was a life long dream of mine to have a bulldog. He quickly became a giant part of the family, and was everything a “good boy” should be. Bruno, to me, is the best dog ever. He had a giant personality that was more human than dog, and he always made you feel loved.

Today Bruno passed in his sleep. He was almost 9, which in bulldog years is a pretty full life. Just last night I gave him a big steak bone, so I like to think he went out feeling pretty good.

It’s hard to lose a dog. Unreasonably hard. It hurts more than it should. It is especially sad seeing your 7 year old lose his first dog.

Grateful for the memories, and grateful for man’s best friend!

We bought the building!!

Aptive leased us this space 3 years ago. Today- the four of us own it, and Aptive still leases it for us :).

This group has over 30 years of D2D sales experience collectively. We talk all the time about lessons we have learned doing this job. How incredible it is. How hard it can be. The insane opportunity it has been, and how lucky we are that things have worked out for us how they have.

A few take aways I think we all agree on-

1) the people you’re around every day make the biggest impact on you. On your earnings. Your habits. Your happiness. Your potential. Your good days and your bad days. Being surrounded by this team has made all the difference.

2) make the most of the job while you can! Go all in. Don’t slack during the summer. Make sure you recruit. Treat your teams well. Be honest. Be fair. Give more value than you take. If you do these things, the job will reward you exponentially.

3) invest!!! So many sales guys, especially lately, blow all their money on toys that require they work even harder. The cars are fun. The trips are amazing. The lifestyle is cool. But the peace of mind from having investments, and a more stable future, is worth far more than all these other shiny objects combined. Be smart with your money. You don’t know how long it will last. BUY INVESTMENTS. And especially real estate. This group owns over $25M worth of real estate. The cars didn’t come til that had happened- but once the investments were in place- the cars sure are a lot of fun.

A huge shoutout to . Aptive has been an unbelievable partner for all of us. None of us have ever worked anywhere else, and that’s RARE. Aptive has enabled us to grow. Taught us what matters in business. Fueled us with resources to build. There is no better home in the D2D industry. We look forward to working here for years to come….

AND to raising the rent on our incredible tenants each year 😜😜😜😜

GOLDEN DOOR ACADEMY:

Mitch and I have talked about this for a very, very long time! And today, we are FINALLY making it happen.

We’ve launched a FREE real estate and sales community on ‘s Skool platform.

Far too often I have sales reps, friends, and connections ask me about real estate investing-

where they should start, how it works, what’s a good investment, and what’s a bad one, etc… I genuinely love helping people. RE and investing will forever be my favorite “work”.

The reality is, it’s really hard to break it down for people in just one interaction, and there isn’t enough time in the day to help as much as I would like.

Golden Door Academy will evolve (it’s literally brand new - so right now there isn’t much lol) into a community that helps people learn about RE.

Helps answer some of the questions we’ve all had about investing at one time or another. Helps build the vision to what’s possible with time, and hard work! And maybe more than anything else, gives the resources and connections needed to have the confidence to actually buy some RE.

Mitch and I will be incredibly active in this group. We both care about this a lot. In fact, we’ve got a zoom set up for next Monday 02/10 at 530 that will be hosted in the group.

Again- this group is free. There are a lot of paid courses and groups out there. Some incredible. Others very scammy.

This one is free, and the whole goal is to build something special with a lot of the people we care so much about!

Life the last couple weeks! Lots of hard work. Lots of good times. Lots of memories. The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to take full advantage of “this one shot” at the good life. Left to its own devices, time passes— always fast, and often meaninglessly. I hope to always make it matter. Always do things I am proud of or enjoy. Always chase down what matters. I feel grateful!!
