🎣 The wait is over! The Gem State Fishing Pond is officially OPEN for the season!

Whether you're chasing trout at sunrise, teaching someone how to cast for the first time, enjoying a quiet evening by the water, or just looking for a beautiful place to relax outdoors, this hidden gem is ready for summer.

Located near Idaho Falls Power’s Gem State Hydroelectric Plant along the Snake River, the 5-acre pond is stocked throughout the season with a variety of fish and surrounded by peaceful wetlands, wildlife habitat, open skies, and river access for small boats. It’s the perfect spot to unplug, pack a picnic, and enjoy everything Idaho summers are about.

📍 Getting there:
Head south on US Highway 91 toward Shelley, then west on Canyon Road (1500 N). Follow the signs to the parking area just south of the pond.

Please remember: the pond closes each year from March 1–June 15 to protect nesting waterfowl and preserve the surrounding habitat.

Are you ready for an epic movie weekend? Very excited to announce the premiere of TOY STORY 5 at the Motor Vu Drive-in in Idaho Falls this weekend. Bring your family for movie magic under the stars this Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night! Toy Story 5 plays first followed by The Breadwinner.

Before Toy Story 5 arrives, you will have a last chance to see Masters of the Universe on Thursday. We are running a special, last-call discount with $5 adult tickets and $2 kids tickets on Thursday only. This is a great way to see a new movie before it’s off our giant screen.

Tickets for the Toy Story 5 premiere weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and the last call showing of Masters of the Universe are ALL available online at www.idahomotorvu.com or at the box office when you arrive.
