LOOK WHAT GOD HAS DONE. ❤️

When we first shared Timmea’s story, she was living in her car, angry at life, overwhelmed by years of hardship, and convinced she didn’t belong anywhere.

But God wasn’t finished with her story.

Since then, she has placed her faith in Jesus, discovered a new identity in Christ, and continued taking one faithful step after another.

And now, we have even more to celebrate. 🥹

On Monday, August 17, she was baptized, publicly declaring her new life and freedom in Christ.

She has also completed her full legal name change—a name that represents the new life she has found in Jesus.

And her story is still being written.

She is continuing to pursue freedom and healing through our addiction recovery program and is scheduled to graduate on October 8, 2026.

What began with a woman living in her car, feeling angry and lost is becoming a testimony of God’s faithfulness, redemption, and grace. We are so grateful to walk alongside her and celebrate all that God is continuing to do in her life!

This is redemption.
This is freedom.
This is God’s faithfulness.

And her story is a beautiful reminder that no one is too far gone for God to redeem. ❤️

We’ll keep cheering her on every step of the way!

🌟 TUESDAY TEAM SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Meet the Change Makers: Kenne Boll

For Kenne, working at Idaho Falls Rescue Mission is more than a job—it’s where he believes God has called him to be.

Kenne came to IFRM directly out of prison and walked through the program himself. Today, as our Program Supervisor, he uses his own experience to understand the struggles many of the men who walk through our doors are facing.

His hope? To be a positive example and remind others that their story isn’t over.

“I want them to see and feel the love that the Lord and I have for them. I want them to see the light and joy of Jesus in me and for them to want it for themselves.”

One of the most rewarding parts of Kenne’s work is seeing guests succeed—and then come back to encourage someone else who is just beginning their journey.

That’s what change looks like. That’s what hope looks like. ❤️

We’re grateful for the people who choose to serve, lead, and point others toward Jesus every day.

Happy Labor Day from Idaho Falls Rescue Mission!

Today, we’re grateful for the many people who work hard every day to provide for their families, serve their communities, and make a difference in the lives of others.

We’re especially thankful for the staff, volunteers, donors, churches, and community partners who give their time, talents, and resources to help make help, hope, and a future possible for those we serve.

Work is more than a paycheck. It can bring purpose, dignity, stability, and an opportunity to use the gifts God has given us.

Thank you to everyone who works, serves, and gives so faithfully.

Before Raelyn worked here, she was the one who got the surprise.

She was finishing college with three kids at home, working part-time, and coming up short. She hadn't asked for help from anyone. Then a local church passed her name to a snowmobile club, and the club arrived with gifts for each of her children and a grocery gift certificate that covered a holiday dinner.

"Even though I wasn't paying attention to God, he was definitely paying attention to me."

Today she works in guest services at our family shelter, welcoming parents on their hardest day. She knows what a stranger's generosity does, because she has been on the receiving end of it.

💙 COMMUNITY SHOUT-OUT: JUSTIN 💙

Sometimes generosity starts with something as simple as a phone call.

Last week, Justin called Idaho Falls Rescue Mission to ask, “What do you need right now?”

The very next day, he showed up with more than 200 brand-new items—everything from our current needs list! 🙌

From shelter supplies and personal care items to pantry needs and urgent baby supplies, Justin saw a need and chose to do something about it.

This is what we love about our community. ❤️ People are moved by God to give—and then they act. Their generosity provides more than supplies. It reminds the people we serve that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Justin, thank you for asking what we needed, for responding so generously, and for helping meet so many needs at once. Your generosity is changing lives!
